One way of judging the success of anything is to gauge its impact on popular culture. E-cigs are no different.

E-cigs have been around in one form or another for around a decade, and they've certainly come of age. More and more, vaping is beginning to pop up in all manner of movies and TV shows. We've collected some of the most prominent examples below, but if you've got any suggestions for others we can add, do let us know!

The Tourist (2010)

Johnny Depp and Angelina Jolie unite onscreen for an action-packed tale of spies and intrigue. Johnny can be spotted puffing away on an early cigalike in a busy train carriage.

Beneath the Darkness (2011)

Budget thriller Beneath the Darkness, may have flown under the radar of many, but it features bona-fide movie star Dennis Quaid in a rather sinister role. You'll spot him vaping throughout the film and also in a blink-and-you'll-miss-it shot in the official trailer.

Drive Hard (2014)

John Cusack is no stranger to e-cigs, being one of the more visible Hollywood stars to be seen using them. In action-comedy, Drive Hard, Cusack plays a no-nonsense bank robber who also has a fondness for e-cigs.

House of Cards (2014)

TV has also seen its fair share of e-cig cameos. In the smash-hit House of Cards, Kevin Spacey's Frank Underwood can be seen sharing clandestine cigarettes with his wife throughout the first season. By the time he moves into the White House, Underwood has traded in the tobacco for an e-cig instead.

2 Broke Girls (2014)

One of the biggest comedies on the planet right now, 2 Broke Girls follows two friends slumming it as waitresses in a diner. One scene in season 4 sees the two turn their acerbic commentary on the hipster vaping crowd.
