Royal Mail Strike Information

The Royal Mail has announced that they will be holding a 24-hour strike, commencing for all shifts after 12:30pm on Thursday, February 16, 2023.

Deliveries made around this time may take longer than expected. However, Royal Mail Tracked 24 is still your best option for a speedy delivery while using Royal Mail.

We are now offering UPS Delivery options for your orders. Find out more below.

Tracking Information Not Updated:

We are aware that some customers orders are not being updated on Royal Mails tracking website but please be assured that your orders are being collected on the next available collection date with Royal Mail. Due to the recent strike action we have been made aware by that there is a large backlog of tracking updates needing processed, so please try not to worry if you do not see the tracking for your order getting updated.

Your order will be on its way to you but may be delayed due to the recent strike action causing delays throughout the UK.

UK Delivery

JAC Vapour do not take any responsibility for incorrect addresses supplied by customers. Please check the address on your order confirmation and, if it’s incorrect, contact our customer service team as soon as possible so that we can get it corrected before your order ships.

We aim to ship all orders placed before 14:00 on the same day, but this cannot always be guaranteed - especially during busier periods. 

Free Shipping

Orders over £40 in value (once all discounts have been applied) for delivery within the UK are eligible for free shipping through Royal Mail Tracked 48 service. The order will be packed within 24hrs and ship for delivery within 2 - 3 working days. A tracking number will be emailed to you in your shipping confirmation email.

If ordering on a Friday, orders shipped using this service will normally arrive by Tuesday of the following week, but may arrive before then.

UPS Delivery Options

Due to the current Royal Mail delays and after listening to feedback from our customers over the festive period, we are now offering UPS delivery services. Click the link to download the UPS Tracking app for your phone.

UPS Standard (1-3 Business Days)

This service usually takes between 1-2 business days for delivery, however may take up to 3 business days due to high demand over the festive period. You will receive a tracking number via email with a confirmed delivery date. If you order a parcel on Friday before 14:00, you should expect your parcel at the beginning of the following week.

UPS Express Saver (Next Day Delivery - Excluding Weekend)

This service will deliver your parcel Next Day when ordered before 14:00 only. If ordered after 14:00, you can expect your delivery the day after (excluding weekends). Any orders placed on Saturday should get delivered on Tuesday using this service, except on Bank Holidays. A tracking number will be emailed to you with a confirmed delivery date once your order has been processed.

Please be aware that due to increased demand of couriers, there may be a slight delay of 1 business day.

Royal Mail Services

Royal Mail Tracked 24 (1-2 Working Days)

Tracking numbers for the Royal Mail Tracked 24 service will be emailed to you in your shipping confirmation email. The order will be packed within 24hrs and for delivery within 1-2 working days, although this is not a guaranteed service. In most cases orders placed before 14:00 will ship that afternoon and arrive the next day. If it is a particularly urgent delivery, please contact our customer support department after making the order and we'll make sure it is shipped the same day (if we are notified before 14:00).

If ordering on a Friday, orders shipped using this will normally arrive over the weekend or Monday. Although in some cases delivery may not take place until the Tuesday.

If you place an order between 15:00 Friday and 11:00 on a Saturday this will be dispatched on Saturday and Royal Mail will do there best to deliver these on a Sunday (this is available on a Royal Mail tracked 24hr service only).

Royal Mail Tracked 48 (2-3 Working Days)

Tracking numbers for the Royal Mail Tracked 48 service will be emailed to you in your shipping confirmation email. In most cases orders arrive within 2 working days from dispatch. Occasionally, there may be delays outside of our control, and Royal Mail will only consider a package lost when 10 working days have passed. If you need your order urgently, please use our Rapid Tracked option which is guaranteed to arrive within 2 working days from purchase (this may not be available at certain times of the year, such as Christmas).

Royal Mail 1st Class (1-2 Working Days, Non-tracked)

A cheaper, non-tracked service which is available on smaller orders. Delivery will usually take between 1-2 working days.

Royal Mail 2nd Class (2-3 Working Days, Non-tracked)

A cheaper, non-tracked service which is available on smaller orders. Delivery will usually take between 2-3 working days.

Definition of Working Days

Please note that working days are considered as Monday – Friday, excluding Bank Holidays. As JAC Vapour is based in Scotland, we can be subject to different Bank Holidays to the rest of the UK and this may affect dispatch times.

Rates

Periodically, postage rates may change as a result of carriers (i.e. Royal Mail) increasing their prices. While we do our best to keep postage prices down, we do need to review the prices we charge from time to time.

Order Statuses

  • Authorised - We've received your order and it will be processed shortly. 
  • Packing - Your order is currently being picked and processed.
  • Complete - Your order has been completed and is ready for dispatch.
  • On Hold -  You have placed a pre-order for an item which isn't currently available, or there may be a problem with your order (we'll be in touch if that's the case).

Late Deliveries and Loss

We endeavour to ship all orders as quickly as possible, but once a parcel is handed over to Royal Mail, delays in transit are outwith our control. On average, the vast majority of parcels will arrive within the estimated timescale, but problems within the postal network can occur occasionally.

Should your parcel not arrive within the expected timeframe, please double-check the tracking information you have been sent along with your dispatch notification, as it's often the case that delivery has been attempted but has not gone ahead successfully.

Failing that, get in touch and we'll be happy to help track things down.

Please note, where a parcel cannot be located, Royal Mail set out how long we must wait before we are able to claim it as lost. This is usually 10 working days after the expected date of delivery. We will be unable to take any further action until this period has elapsed.

 

International Delivery

Royal Mail have currently suspended shipments of International goods due to internal systems errors. We shall ship all International orders by UPS until this situation is resolved. If there is a difference in shipping fees from your site quoted value and actual value due to change in courier, we shall contact you before we ship out

Please note that you are asked to be aware of your territory’s legislation for receiving vaping goods, we cannot be held responsible for any goods rejected and destroyed by local customs. Similarly, if a package is rejected and shipped back to us you understand you are liable for the return shipping cost.

Most international orders are shipped via Royal Mail. Where possible, orders are shipped via their International Tracked and Signed service, though this may vary based on your location.

Please note, due to international aviation rules, loose lithium-ion batteries (18650 batteries etc), can only be shipped via specialist couriers.

Unfortunately we’re unable to ship orders to freight/packing stations or PO boxes. Deliveries may require a signature and parcels can’t be shipped to an address where no signature can be supplied.

Free Shipping

Orders over £120 in value (once any discount has been applied) for delivery within the EU are eligible for free shipping.

Orders over £180 in value (once any discount has been applied) for delivery within the USA are eligible for free shipping.

Orders over £220 in value (once any discount has been applied) for delivery to the rest of the world are eligible for free shipping.

We are not responsible for any delivery delay by the destination country's Customs or border controls. Most deliveries to European countries take 3-5 working days, but can take 10-15 days depending on your country’s postal service. An item will not be considered lost until 30 working days after the expected date of delivery.

Import Duties and Customs

When ordering from outwith the UK, your order will not include VAT.

JAC Vapour take no responsibility for any import duties or taxes charged at Customs in your country. We encourage all customers to research what taxes will be due on imported goods from the UK prior to placing an order. We are unable to edit or amend shipping manifests or Customs declarations.
