What is TPD Compliance?
The TPD was established to standardise the safety and quality of vaping products across the UK and Europe. In the UK, these rules are overseen by the MHRA (Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency).
A "TPD Compliant" product must adhere to four primary physical and legal restrictions:
- Tank Capacity: The maximum capacity for any vape tank, pod, or cartridge is 2ml.
- Bottle Volume: Nicotine-containing e-liquids can only be sold in individual bottles with a maximum volume of 10ml.
- Nicotine Strength: The maximum legal nicotine concentration for any e-liquid or disposable is 20mg/ml (2%).
- Notification: Every product must be formally notified to the MHRA six months before it is placed on the market.
How JAC Vapour Complies
1. Product Hardware Standards
Every device and tank we sell is designed to meet the strict 2ml capacity limit. We ensure all our hardware features child-resistant and tamper-evident packaging, as well as a leak-free refilling mechanism as mandated by the TRPR.
2. E-Liquid Regulations
Our nicotine-containing e-liquids are exclusively sold in 10ml TPD-compliant bottles. We strictly adhere to the 20mg/ml nicotine cap across all our ranges. For users who prefer larger volumes, we offer Shortfills (nicotine-free 50ml or 100ml bottles), which are compliant because they do not contain nicotine at the point of sale.
3. Labelling & Consumer Safety
JAC Vapour packaging carries the mandatory health warnings, which must cover 30% of the front and back of the box. Our labels clearly list all ingredients, nicotine content per dose, and include a tactile warning for the visually impaired.
4. MHRA Notification & ECID Numbers
Every JAC Vapour product has a unique ECID (European Community Identification Number). You can verify the compliance of any of our products by searching for "JAC Vapour" or the specific product name on the official MHRA published list.
