Product Engineering

For a market which is still relatively young, the vaping industry has undergone a significant transformation in just a few, short years. Indeed, many of the devices available today are almost unrecognisable when compared to what many vapers were using five years ago.

Product innovation is a natural part of any electronic device. As technology develops, a product can be refined, improved and built upon. The demand for more powerful e-cigarettes, which offer greater flexibility and increased battery life, has fuelled such innovation. As a result, the e-cigarette industry is now developing faster than ever.

With a market as dynamic and fast-paced as this one, the ground shifts quickly. In just a few, short years, we’ve already seen various e-cigarette advances:

  • 1st Gen cigalike devices
  • eGo batteries and tanks
  • Variable Voltage
  • Variable Wattage

Sub-Ohm vaping has exploded in the past six months, with access to vastly increased vapour production no longer reserved for just those using mechanical mods and RBAs. As we look forward, Temperature Control will be likely to continue to develop. After that, who knows?

Engineering is the key ingredient. A product which has been well engineered shows in its performance, quality and reliability. So, how do you know what to trust?

At JAC Vapour we have invested in our own dedicated R&D department, tasked with the design and development of all in-house products. JAC Vapour is one of the only UK brands that designs and engineers its own products. This team are responsible for the Series-E, built from the inside out to bring style and function together. Their hard work has paid off, with the Series-E quickly becoming our best-selling device. There is no let-up, however, and work is approaching completion on our next device, due for release later in the year (watch this space).

Good engineering is not only about producing products of the highest quality and reliability. It’s about looking at what the consumer wants, and manufacturing something which suits their needs. This means continuous development and refinement, constantly looking at where we can improve. This has spurred us on in the past, and will continue to help drive us forward in the future.

Unfortunately, there have been instances (particularly this year) where products have been rushed onto the market without undergoing adequate testing. Poor QA procedures, and bad design has meant a number of devices suffering fairly serious failures. Customer safety is of the highest importance here at JAC Vapour, which is why we work hard with our manufacturing partners to combine performance and safety in all of our products.

Our own product range shows our history of adapting to meet customer demand, and adjusting focus in response to user feedback. As JAC turns 5 this month, we can look back at our early products, such as Vgo2 and V3i batteries, where we decided to break from the norm and utilise the 808 connection as it offered greater efficiency and reliability.

We introduced the popular Mini V3i tank after requests from customers to be able to use a tank system with their V3i batteries, and formulated our UK Made range of e-liquids to satisfy the desire for locally sourced, great tasting, flavours.

This spirit has led us to the JAC 510 range and the Series-E. As we look forward to our next exciting product launch, we are always listening and engineering products designed in response to user feedback.
