What counts as "low nicotine"?
Most vape e-liquid ranges from 0mg up to 20mg. Anything at 6mg or below is generally considered low nicotine — for comparison, most disposable vapes and standard prefilled pods sit at 20mg, the legal maximum in the UK.
The two routes down

Using Puff Box, our prefilled pod vape, the usual route is standard 20mg pods, then THREE MAX at 3mg, then ZERO MAX at 0mg — the same pod-based system throughout, just different pods at each step.
If you use a refillable device, you're not limited to fixed steps — e-liquid comes in a full range of strengths, so you can drop as much or as little as you want in one move, and go again later if you choose.
Will you lose satisfaction going lower?
THREE MAX and ZERO MAX are built with a specific formulation designed to keep a strong throat hit despite the low or zero nicotine — that's an engineered feature of those two products, not something true of low-nicotine e-liquid generally. Separately, PG genuinely carries more throat hit than VG at any strength, so a high-PG e-liquid will feel more satisfying at a lower strength than a VG-heavy one would — a real, general property, not a special formula.
You're not choosing something unusual
Looking at our own sales data, 6mg is comfortably our best-selling single strength e-liquid — more than double any other individual strength, and that's held steady over time. Going lower isn't a fringe decision; it's what most vapers already choose to do.
Does it actually work, or do people try it once and go back?
Fair question. Around 2 in 3 customers who try ZERO MAX come back and reorder — a solid majority, though not everyone, and that's fine. Nicotine-free isn't the right fit for everyone, and there's no obligation to end up there.
Ready to choose your route?
Our Low Nicotine Vape collection has both kit options in one place — THREE MAX for Puff Box, or a refillable pod kit with a 6mg e-liquid — so you can compare them directly and choose which kit is most suitable.
FAQs
What is considered a low nicotine vape?
Generally 6mg or below. Most standard vapes and disposables sit at 20mg, so 6mg and under is a meaningful step down.
Do I need a new device to lower my nicotine strength?
Not if you already vape — a refillable device just needs a lower-strength e-liquid, no hardware change needed. If you don't have a device yet, our Low Nicotine Vape kits come ready-set-up either way.
Can I go straight to 0mg instead of stepping down gradually?
Yes — plenty of people do. There's no evidence one approach works better than the other; it's down to personal preference.
