Elux Legend 3500 Puffs - Why It's Not Safe

Craig Fulton |

While on the search for the best disposable vape out on the market, you may have also come across a device called the Elux Legend Disposable Vape, boasting a huge 3500 puff count per device.

We're here to tell you all there is to know about the Elux Legend 3500 and why it is illegal to purchase in the UK and not safe to consume.

Is The Elux Legend 3500 Illegal In The UK?

As mentioned above, the Elux Legend 3500 is not legally allowed to be sold in the UK. This hasn't stopped some retailers stocking the product, but it's highly dangerous to do so.

The reason that Elux Legend 3500 Puff is not legal to sell in the UK is because of the tank size. It comes with a 10ml tank, which is 5x more than the legal limit of 2ml. Because it's illegal to sell, it means that the product has not been notified by the Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency (MHRA). This goverment agency ensures that vaping products work and are safe to use.

All vape products, including disposable vapes, sold in the UK need to follow strict standards of safety and quality. Therefore all products sold in the UK need to be notified and published by the MHRA before they can be sold.

Not only does this ensure that the tank limit of 2ml is adhered too, but it also ensures that:

  • The vape Juice you consume is safe and free from banned ingredients, including colourings, caffeine and taurine.
  • Vape Juice nicotine strength is restricted to no more than 20mg/ml
  • That all nicotine-containing vape products are child-resistant and tamper evident
  • That important warnings and ingredient information are visibile on all vape products

As the Elux Legend 3500 Puffs can't be notified and approved by the MHRA due to it's 10ml tanks, it's therefore illegal to sell in the UK.

Is The Elux Legend 3500 Safe?

If you have or plan to vape this product you are putting your health at serious risk .

The bottom line is that you don't know what you are vaping. Elux Legend hasn't gone through testing required by UK standards and they are not registered devices.

This means you don't know what ingredients are used in the disposable vape, the nicotine strength of the product, if the labelling is truthful or accurate and if it's child-resistant/tamper evident.

What alternative can I use?

Only vape products that are approved and notified by the MHRA are legal and safe to use in the UK.

We were one of the first vape brands in the UK, starting in 2010, and have built a reputation on trust and quality as one the UK's leading independent vape brands.

We highly recommend our Puff Box, the rechargeable disposable vape , which can be found on the MHRA published products list .

The ulra compact Puff Box is as simple as twist and vape. Each refill pack gives an estimated 1300 Puffs for only £5.49 and most importantly, you know it's safe and held to the strictest of UK standards.
