JAC Vapour: 2015 In Review

Published by Matt Brown on 15th Dec 2015

2015 has been another fantastic year here at JAC Vapour, and a busy one to boot.

This year has been by far our busiest, with several product launches, the development of our chain of retails shops as well as the company itself continuing to grow steadily. We've welcomed many new members of staff, and have been renewing our focus on delivering the highest quality products at the best prices.

JAC Vapour in 2015

SERIES-E

While the SERIES-E launched in November 2014, it very quickly became, and continues to be, our best-selling product throughout the year. With the SERIES-E, we identified a space in the existing marketplace for a more advanced 510 eGo device which helped to bridge the gap between 2nd and 3rd Generation electronic cigarettes.

Its impressive capacity, variable voltage functionality and compatibility with popular 18.5mm tanks such as the Kanger Aero Tank, has meant it has become a fantastic all-rounder which appeals to customers both new and old.

SERIES-B Tilt

Our big launch in 2015 was our first Variable Wattage box mod. Designed in-house, the SERIES-B Tilt launched in August and has been winning fans all round the world.

The SERIES-B was designed and manufactured after a lot of work by our research and development team and has very quickly become one of our best-selling products. We're looking forward to sharing future products coming in 2016.

JAC Retail

Our first retail shop opened in Leeds just a few days before Christmas last year. Since then, it has gone from strength to strength, offering our range of hardware and e-liquids to local customers in Leeds.

This summer we opened our second shop right here in Edinburgh, with further shops planned to launch across the UK in 2016.

Wider Industry

Sub-Ohm

If 2015 has been about any one market development, it's been the rise and rise of sub-ohm vaping. Taking hold at the start of the year thanks to proliferation of consumer friendly variable wattage devices, sub-ohm vaping is now in the mainstream. As we move into 2016, it's likely that sub-ohm will continue to dominate the landscape in terms of future tank design.

Temperature Control

Another notable advance in 2015 has been in Temperature Control, with a multitude of devices being quick to adopt this new technology.

While we test the capabilities of Temperature Control for ourselves, we do so with an eye on future product development. Watch this space.

TPD

2015 has also been somewhat overshadowed by the impending TPD regulations due to come into effect next May. This has resulted in a fair bit of forward planning, as we make adjustments to our business and how we operate in order to comply with the new rules.

We'll be discussing the TPD and what it means to our customers in greater detail in a forthcoming blog post. For now, Clive Bates has been producing some very informative content regarding the regulations and the current legal challenges being brought against them.

2016

As 2015 fades into 2016, we're gearing up for another exciting year, full of new hardware, e-liquids and more. As always, we'll be sure to let customers know all of the latest developments, but in the meantime, be sure to like us on Facebook and follow us on Twitter.
