510 Crystal Tanks Help Guide

  • About

JAC 510 Crystal tanks are an attractive, compact tank fitted with a 510 drip tip. These are bottom dual-coil tanks, meaning that each atomiser head is fitted with two coils for greater vapour production.

As the coils are mounted at the bottom of the tank, they are able to produce a smoother, more consistent vape.

  • FAQ

HOW LONG WILL IT BE BEFORE THE COILS HAS TO BE REPLACED?

The coils for all of our tanks are expected to last for around 10 re-fills. You may find that you get less than 10 re-fills, however, if you are using VG e-liquid, due to the thickness.

HOW DOES THE E-LIQUID MANAGE TO STAY IN THE TANK WITHOUT LEAKING?

In all of our 510 Crystal Tanks, and all of our other tanks as well, there are built in seals which are there to prevent leaking.

DOES THE 510 CRYSTAL TANK COME WITH A MOUTHPIECE, OR DO I NEED TO PURCHASE ONE?

JAC 510 Crystal tanks come as standard with a black mouthpiece. This, however, is replaceable and can be swapped out for any 510 mouthpiece.

IS THERE A DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE AVAILABLE COILS?

The two coils that can be purchased, for the JAC 510 Crystal Tanks, are the 1.6Ohm and the 1.8Ohm coils. The lower resistance coil (1.6Ohm) will produce greater amounts of vapour and give a better throat hit, yet can affect the flavour. The higher resistance coil (1.8Ohm) will give you less vapour and throat hit, but will offer slightly more flavour. JAC 510 Crystal tanks come equipped with one of the 1.8Ohm dual-coils as standard. These are replaceable and can be swapped for the 1.6Ohm JAC 510 Crystal & Nova Tank coil.

CAN THE JAC 510 CRYSTAL TANK BE USED ON ALL BATTERIES, OR ONLY THE 510 BATTERIES?

The JAC 510 Crystal tanks are only compatible with the JAC 510 range of batteries, including the Twist range. Unfortunately, these cannot be used with the V3i or Vgo2 batteries.

ARE YOU ABLE TO WASH THE TANK WHEN YOU WANT TO CHANGE FLAVOUR OF E-LIQUID?

Yes, below is our step by step guide on cleaning the tank:

    • While wearing some rubber gloves, clear the tank or any remaining e-liquid.
    • Remove the base of the tank and unscrew the wick and coil.
    • With warm water, rinse out the tank and the wick and coil. Only use warm water, as hot or soapy water can cause damage to the tank. When washing the wick and coil, gently run your fingers through the wick to clear away any excess.
    • Leave the washed components to air dry overnight. Ensure that no water is left in the tank when you go to use it, as this can damage the tank if vapourised.
    • Put the tank back together and re-fill. After the tank has been filled, wait 30 minutes before use so that the wick can soak in the e-liquid.

THERE IS A BURNT TASTE COMING FROM MY E-LIQUID

For variable voltage battery users, have a look to see what the voltage is set at. If above 4.2v, this can affect the overall flavour of the e-liquid. To prevent this, simply turn down the voltage to 4.2v or below, and this should fix the issue.

If your voltage setting is okay, see whether the coil needs to be replaced. Coils should last for around 10 re-fills before they will need to be replaced, however, type of e-liquid and use can drop this figure slightly.

Ensure that the wicks in the tank are fully saturated with e-liquid. When saturated in e-liquid, this prevents them from dry burning. When using a new coil in the tank, this is particularly important to do. If you leave the e-liquid for around 30 minutes after filling, this will have soaked into the wicks enough to prevent dry burning.

If you have any questions or are still experiencing the issue, please contact customer service.

    HOW IS THE COIL REPLACED?

    1. Remove the tank from the battery and unscrew the base.
    2. Once the base has been taken off the battery, remove the atomiser head from the base.
    3. Screw the new coil into the base of the tank.
    4. Connect the tank back together and re-fill, remembering to allow the e-liquid 30 minutes to soak into the wick.

    THE CRYSTAL TANK IS LEAKING.

    When leaking from the base.

Make sure that all of the tanks components are screwed together tightly, and that nothing has been cross-threaded.

Ensure that the coil you are using with the tank is the correct one. The only coil suitable for the 510 Crystal Tank, is the 510 Crystal & Nova tank coil. Double check to make sure that you are using the correct coil with the tank. If in doubt, contact customer service.

Double check to make sure that the tank hasn’t been overfilled. If the tank has been overfilled, the e-liquid will have gotten into the centre post. The same applies if the e-liquid has gotten into the centre post as well. To clear out the e-liquid in both of these situations, all you need to do is blow through the tank.

Have a look in the tank to see if the centre post of sitting correctly. If this looks offset, there is a good chance that this is causing the leak.

If problem continues to occur, and your tank is no more than 2 weeks old, contact customer service.

    If leaking from the window.

Make sure that the tank hasn’t been physically damaged and cracked the tank.

If the problem persists, contact customer service.

When leaking from the mouth piece.

Read through the above on leaking from the base and check all the causes.

Ensure that the tank hasn’t been left sitting upside down or horizontally for too long, as this can cause leaking. If the tank has been left like this, blowing through the mouthpiece will clear all the e-liquid out.

When you take several long, and deep, draws on the tank, this tends to bring too much e-liquid into the atomising chamber and floods the coil. Due to the coil being unable to vapourise all the e-liquid, what is left, comes up the centre post and into the mouthpiece. By reducing the amount, and length, of the draws, this will allow the coil to work as expected.

Use the tank in an upright position as much as possible. When used upside down or horizontally, leaking can occur due to the e-liquid being forced through the seals.

If problems persist, and the tank is still inside two weeks of purchase, contact customer service.

All tank will have some condensation build-up in the mouthpiece over time. This is simply a combination of breathe from the user, and vapour. This tends to collect in the mouthpiece, and can be cleared by removing this and using some tissue to clear away the excess.

I’M NOT GETTING ANY VAPOUR FROM MY CRYSTAL TANK

When this issue occurs, the most likely cause is that the coil has reached the end of its life span. As the coils are expected to last for, give or take, 10 re-fills, if you have filled the tank more times than this, the coil is most likely is need of replacing.

If the issue continues, contact customer service.
